During planning and preconstruction of a project, cost control begins with a comprehensive and accurate estimate. This includes not only an estimate of what is shown by the architects/engineers, but also what is actually going to be required. EDGE Construction has extensive cost history data and strong estimating talent which is critical. This enables the Project Team to manage costs throughout the construction process by having an accurate assessment of budget and schedule.
The Design-Build delivery method allows the Owner to contract with EDGE Construction in order to complete both the design and construction portions of their project. EDGE Construction focuses on combining the design, permit and construction of your project to reduce the delivery schedule and deliver your project in a timely manner. This allows an integrated solution for the owner in which you can be comfortable in the ability of EDGE Construction to work with design professionals and subcontractors necessary to complete your project successfully.

Construction Management At Risk (CMAR) is a construction contracting method in which the Construction Management Team becomes a collaborative part of the Project Team. Generally the Owner chooses the CMAR Contractor at the same time or shortly after the architect/engineer is chosen. This allows EDGE Construction to assist in evaluating costs, scheduling, and advise about constructability. This helps the Owner expedite construction by starting elements of construction prior to the design being completed (phasing). EDGE Construction will contract directly with the trades and subcontractors which allows for one point of contact and responsibility. In addition to this, the Owner will be provided with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the project which fixes the cost.
